WHO & WHAT

Spiridon Kapravelos | Andreas Golinski

GRAU/T is a german artist collective & creative label founded in by Spyridon Kapravelos and Andreas Golinski. From its roots in experimental sound art, the label has steadily expanded its scope to encompass visual art, design objects, installations and publications. Operating under the shared ethos of exploring the intersections between disciplines, GRAU/T presents both the founders’ own projects and collaborative works with a diverse roster of international artists.

At the core of GRAU/T’s practice lies an attention to process and context. In the field of music, the label issues richly layered releases such as “Bohrungen/Drillings,” a site-specific audio installation that probes the hidden acoustic strata of the Baukunstarchiv NRW.

Parallel to its sonic explorations, GRAU/T curates visual and publication projects that respond to architectural spaces and historical narratives, often engaging in graphic design and bookmaking to extend each project’s conceptual framework.

By blurring the boundaries between exhibition, release and printed matter, GRAU/T cultivates a multifaceted platform where sound, image and object converge. The collective’s ongoing programme embraces installations, limited‐edition vinyl and CD editions, art publications, and performative events—each conceived as part of an evolving dialogue between artist and audience. Looking ahead, GRAU/T continues to collaborate with emerging and established creators, seeking out new contexts in which to reveal the latent relationships between materiality, memory and form.
